A RETAIL consultant at Heathrow will play round the clock in a darts marathon to raise funds for two cancer charities.
Rohit Rabadia who has worked for Blackjack Promotions for about 10 years and has organised the 24 hour event is also the first Professional Asian darts player with the British Darts Organisation (BDO).
So far he has drummed up around £1,000 but hopes to reach the bullseye target of £5,000 which will be split between Cancer Research and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Rohit said: I have chosen the two cancer charities as it's a global issue ad I know the great support and effort both charities put into their work."
The games begin on September 23 and eight darts players will be nailing the boards for 24 hours including Rohit himself, while on Saturday two of the world's best players; Dean Winstanley and Stephen Bunting will take part in an exhibition match.
Throughout Friday and Saturday people can participate in mini tournaments by donating a small fee, get signed goodies in an auction, and win prizes in a raffle ticket draw.
The event is being held at Chiswick Memorial Club, Chiswick, from 6.30pm until 8pm the following evening.
Entry is £3 on Friday before 6.30pm, £5 on Saturday after 2pm, and more on the door.
